So everything is coming together for Jaw Surgery on Monday. Honestly it doesn't feel like its only 3 days away, I suppose we've been discussing it for so long, it seems like its something in the distant future still, not an immediate reality.
On Monday (the one we just had), I had my autogenous blood donation. We took 1 unit of blood out in case we need it in op, though it's unlikely as I'm only having one jaw broken. Bizarrely, I was way more terrified for this then for the surgery itself, needles are not my thing. But it wasn't too bad, didn't really hurt... it was more uncomfortable, and I was a little buggered afterwards. But all in all, not bad. It was good to see the hospital where Im having the surgery, and it kind of made it feel like it was actually happening. The hiighlight for me (and a couple of my friends) was being told that I needed to take iron, folic acid, and vitamin C tablets to get the blood back up, and as a result my stool would darken to almost black, and I would become either loose or constipated. My inner 12 year old was giggling, yet I sat there, telling myself to act like a grown up :)
Now Im just getting things together, I went out to the pub last night with a bunch of my mates for my last drunken hoorah for the next 2 months, Ive been sorting out my train wreck of a room, and Im going to the Star City Casino on sunday with my family, to have a big buffet lunch haha. So it's all happening.
I had my last drama and singing classes this week, and I taught my last classes for about a month, which was sad, but hey, it will all be worth it.
...I hope. Haha :)
